Who is the Swiss Society of Paediatric Dentistry?

The Swiss Society of Paediatric Dentistry is a speciality society of the larger Swiss Society of Odontology (SSO) and one of the five founding societies of the Swiss College of Dental Medicine.

The aim of this society is to promote the paediatric dentistry and oral health care in young people in Switzerland through alliance of all interested dentists.

The Swiss Society of Paediatric Dentistry enables the furthering of education in paediatric dentistry through lectures, courses and publications; one important event is the annual congress in the middle of January.

At the same time the Swiss Society of Paediatric Dentistry furthers the friendly exchange of experience between colleagues. It cultivates contacts and exchanges with the Paediatric Dentistry departements in the four dental schools as well as with the 23 public children´s dental clinics spread out in different areas of Switzerland.

The Swiss Society of Paediatric Dentistry has representatives in the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry and the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry.

The Swiss Society of Paediatric Dentistry strongly supports the conservation of young people´s oral health.
